Six Gulf markets, one starting point
For most UK and European brands the UAE is the right first market. Stock held in Jebel Ali can then reach the other five GCC countries through retailers and distributors that already buy from Dubai.

United Arab Emirates
Our baseElite Horizon imports into Jebel Ali and supplies supermarkets, specialist retailers, hotels, restaurants and online marketplaces across the seven emirates. Outdoor living, BBQ and cooling sell all year, with the busiest season in the cooler months.
Saudi Arabia
Largest marketThe biggest GCC market by population. Many consumer products need conformity certification before import, so plan registration time into the launch.
Qatar
A smaller, high-spending market with a strong hotel and restaurant sector. Often supplied through regional retailers and distributors working from Dubai.
Kuwait
Established retail groups and co-operative stores. Usually reached through a local distributor who imports from the UAE.
Oman
Growing tourism and hospitality, with close trade links to the UAE. Much of the market is supplied by road from Dubai.
Bahrain
A compact market linked to Saudi Arabia by the King Fahd Causeway, often served alongside the Saudi Eastern Province.
Why start in the UAE
- Jebel Ali is one of the region's main ports and a natural hub for re-export
- Retailers and hotel groups headquartered in Dubai buy for several countries at once
- Our sister company, Elite Horizon, already holds stock, accounts and delivery routes there
- A brand that sells in Dubai has a track record to show buyers elsewhere in the Gulf
